Recent Police Activity |

|
In recent days Matt Storey the Police & Crime Commissioner made a recent visit to do a patrol of the area with local PCSOs. The aim of this patrol in Skelton was to first hand witness the good in the community as well as things that can be improved. Local policing teams have been making a direct effort to tackle the ongoing shop thefts, this is being tackled in a variety of ways. This is including patrols, shop drop ins to give reassurance and advice as well as gather intelligence. CCTV is being collected to allow further investigations. Local policing teams have identified two shoplifters who have been committing numerous crimes and are aiming to take positive action with this.
The local police team have been engaging with the community and youths on the streets as well as in youth clubs, this allows education and ways for members of the public to discuss any concerns. This is also used to tackle antisocial behaviour by advising and warning the younger generation as well as parents and carers. House visits have been conducted by police and in partnership with third party agencies to continue to tackle the ongoing house and antisocial issues in the community. Warning documents and letters have been given to individuals to continue positive actions to tackle crime.
The community have been a great support to police in reporting crime as well as providing information. This allows police to investigate and continue to tackle crime. The police and partner agencies just want to say a big thank you to the community for their ongoing support. | ||
